Mixer with Creators (Dead By Daylight)
OCT 14TH, 2024
I was recently invited to a Dead by Daylight mixer and was given the opportunity to mingle with some amazing creators!
I had the pleasure of meeting some of them online via Twitch and the streaming space, but I never had the chance to meet them in person and really hang out. BHVR hosted the mixer and were great hosts.
Food was provided, from burgers to charcuterie boards. There was something available for everyone. The venue was decorated to be a very playful mini haunted house. The atmosphere was immaculate for the said genre of game Dead by Daylight is known to be. Of course, there was an open bar with liquid courage to help stimulate the social aspect of the mixer. I, myself, didn’t need it, but there may be a few who were able to benefit from the extra courage. Which brings up the best part of the mixer…. the people! I was so excited to see everyone I had gotten to watch and see on Twitch. I was ready to see everyone I had come to network with all in one place. It was about time!
Many great chats and talks were had, and many funny moments and private moments will remain private. I was nervous that I wouldn’t get along with everyone as well in person, but I was completely wrong. It’s a great feeling when the people you’ve met vibe with you in person just as much as online. I was able to hang out and chat with Rinka, Frisk, Spookyloopz, Tokki, Elix, MiladyConfetti, and more! It was great to see people who reciprocated the sentiment and knew me.
It shows that networking with individuals online can develop real-time bonding and genuine friendship. So, I encourage everyone to go for it. Create rapport with people and approach them with sincerity when trying to collaborate and network. Make friends and reciprocate when allowed.
I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. It all starts with you saying “hi.” Don’t let your anxiety and fear hold you back. Shoot that shot! Fill your network with outstanding individuals and grow that into mutual friendship!
Once that has all happened, set everything up in a mixer with food and alcohol. Then let the good times roll :)
